Emeralis City is the third city the player reaches, following Route 2. It is the destination and primary location of multiple quests, most notably Sidequest: Show Me a Spinarak and Story: School Brawl.
Emeralis City is considered to be a relatively small city, with an easy flow through it from one route to another. It is surrounded by trees and has a large grassy park; it is one of the less-urbanized cities in its general area.

Places of Interest
Emeralis Trainer School
Main focus during the player's first visit of Emeralis City is Emeralis Trainer School. A tournament takes place and different prizes are handed out, depending on the amount of battles the player wins.
The school itself consists of four floors with various classrooms and a roof, which can't be entered.
Thorne Residence
The significance of Thorne Residence is unrevealed at this time, but inside a Vaporeon and a Serperior can be found. A Weavile may also be found here, but only after the story in Rubina City has been completed.
Events of Interest
Sidequest: Show Me a Spinarak
Inside the house left of the Pokémon Center a boy wants to see an Altaran Spinarak.
Sidequest: Find the Teacher
A ranger inside the Trainer School is looking for a specific teacher. She can be found in the small flower field directly under the large grassy park, but only after talking to a specific student in her classroom.
After the quest is completed, the player may trigger a small cutscene by speaking with the ranger again.
