This page is for the upcoming version's Changelog. These changes are sometimes reflected on this wiki via the above "Future" template. In the event that there is a change or fix that we consider to be a spoiler, or want to keep hidden until the patch is released, the relevant note will be omitted.

- Fixed Curse not working for Ghost-types.

- Gave Sadism its functioning.
- Mechanical fixes:
- Fixed not being able to cancel most post-battle evolutions.
- Fixed Blitzle's evolution.
- Azurill can no longer change genders on evolution because minors should not transition

- Raised the berry prices again.
- Changes to Hard Mode:
- The healing machines in Spruce's lab and the Rubina Precinct now cost a flat 500 Poké to use.
- The woman in the house on Route 4 East will no longer heal you after the associated quest.
- Changes to the Altaran Charmander line:
- Divine Right replaced by Corrosive Breath in their movesets
- Altaran Charizard still learns it, but much later
- Having any member of the evolution line in the party now triggers the anti-cheat
- If you still have the Charmander from the Mystery Gift in 2.0, too bad. We recommended multiple times to restart your save.

- Level and obedience changes:
- The credits shop in Ironis Black Market no longer has Rare Candies in stock
- Rare Candies no longer level up Pokémon past the obedience cap
- Blame people exploiting this to hell for these changes. -- Kuda
- Pokemon now are disobedient 80% of the time if they are past the obedience cap
- Raised the price of the Affogato again
- Affogato now only reduces a Pokemon to level 2 if they were obtained at level 1
- Move and Ability changes:

- It will probably actually work
- Burnout no longer activates on status moves
- Burnout no longer activates if the Pokemon already changed its stats this turn
- Pokemon that activate Burnout's effect are now subject to increased damage from Lash Out
- Bellow is now a Fake Out variant, having its BP bumped up to 40 and PP lowered to 10

- Neko Guy Nyat's Meowth now has Technician.
- Gave Crash back his Rocky Helmet.
- The Altaran Ralts from the Landlady sidequest and the starter from Tenpo are now marked as special Pokemon and can no longer be given to suppliers
- Graphics:
- Shiny Metallic Pokemon are now called Radiant Pokemon.
- UI changes:
- Slightly changed EVO's "tired" and "sleep" graphics to further distinguish them from "unamused", "sad", and "blink".
- Made small aesthetic adjustments to the region map.
- Added a new location to the region map.
- Changed the pause menu to use Voltseon's free resource.
- Swapped the graphics that mentioned the old website, sardonyx.weebly.com, to our new website, ragnarokraven.net.
- Tweaked the battle UI.
- Fixed sprites:
- Busted Mimikyu is now the correct color.
- Bought Kaiser a new scarf and paled his complexion
- Tweaked colors on Petra's overworlds.
- Gave normal Magearna its correct shiny color.
- Fixed contrast on Altaran Gible line.
- Fixed contrast on Altaran Manectric.
- Made new sprites:

- Gave new Metallics to every Pokemon
- These use a new filter or a custom palette more true to the term "metallic". Pokemon in dex order up to Celebi have the custom palette; most other Pokemon use a filter as a placeholder.
- Began to make correct Metallic/Radiant palettes for menu icons. Currently up to Beedrill.
- Some Shiny icons may be incorrectly colored. Ignore these-- it's a lot of sprites to go through and they will be corrected in due time.
- Gave new Shinies to the following lines:
- Groray
- Vibrava (slight adjustment to Flygon, no change to Trapinch)
- Garchomp (Gible and Gabite untouched)
- GMax Butterfree (slightly changed wing color)

- Gave back the old Shinies to the following lines, making their custom Shinies into Radiants:

- Abilities:
- Swapped Altaran Kingler's normal Abilities, which were mistakenly in the wrong order.
- Swapped around Vaporeon's Abilities. Its normal abilities are now Water Absorb and Restore, Hidden are Hydration and Drizzle, and Mega is Swift Swim.
- The following Pokemon have gotten secondary normal Abilities where they had none:
- The Zubat line now has Echolocation.
- The Oddish line now has Natural Cure.
- The Bellsprout line now has Leaf Guard.
- The Dratini line now has Swift Swim.
- Mew and Mewtwo now have Power Spot.
- Galarian Farfetch'd and Sirfetch'd have Super Luck.

- The Whismur line has replaced Soundproof with Cacophony.
- The Jangmo-o line has replaced Soundproof with Cacophony.
- The following Pokemon have gained secondary Hidden Abilities:
- The Igglybuff line now has Moody.

- The Poliwag line now has Dry Skin, except for Politoed, who has Cacophony.

- Hoennian Electrike line now has Electric Surge, and Altaran has Storm Chaser.

- The Deino line has gained Sludge Bomb as a Tutor move.
- Girafarig now has Magic Room as an Egg Move.

- Wooloo now learns Rollout instead of Copycat.

- Encounters:
- Uses a modified version of Essentials 19/19.1 encounter system, so now we have a bit more flexibility with encounter tables
- Fletchling is now available in Route 1 normal grass
- Shroomish, Stantler, and Altaran Paras are now available in Jadit Ruins exterior
- Charmander and Aron now have encounter data set for them ahead of 3.0
- Teddiursa has been removed from Peridot Forest, replaced with Joltik
- Trubbish can now be found in the Condemned Buildings in Rubina
- Route 5 Pidgey have evolved.
- Route 4 center Shinx have evolved.
- Zigzagoon has been removed from Route 4 and evolved on Route 5. Additionally, Linoone can be found in Route 6, replacing Skorupi.
- Joltik has been placed in the Peridot Forest tree hole.
- Munchlax has been placed in the Route 4 Center tree hole.
- Rattata has been removed from all wild locations except for Granite Town, Route 1, and the Condemned Buildings, the last of which has decreased its encounter rate.
- Meowth has been removed from Route 2.
- Krabby has been removed from Ironis Tunnel.
- Tangela has been removed from Routes 5 and 6, making it now unobtainable in 2.x.
- Magikarp's encounters have been tweaked, lowering its spawn rate and removing it from all saltwater sources.
- Murkrow has been removed from Peridot Forest; its egg chance has been replaced by Stantler.
- Roselia has been removed from specifically the beach grass in Ironis City (but can still be found in the normal grass).
- Carvanha can now be fished up from Ironis City's saltwater.
- Bidoof has been removed from Route 4.
- Glameow has been removed from Rubina and Citrivale City.
- Bunnelby has been added to Shardil Town and Shardil Clearing.
- Skwovet has replaced Zigzagoon on Route 4 West.
- There are now special messages at the start of standard single battle encounters with Pokemon with at least 2 perfect IVs
- Map and event changes:
- When going to Tempest Island, you are now first taken onboard the ship instead of going directly to the island.
- Replaced most of the Calm Water autotiles.
- Lots of small map changes across the region. Most of these won't be noticeable, like moving a couple of tiles or adding a tree.
- That said, there is a very slim chance you might be in a spot that got blocked off or covered by an obstacle. If you want to avoid this, save in front of a Pokemon Center before updating.
- Removed floor numbers from the names of maps that had them (the Condemned Buildings and Citrivale Lighthouse) for consistency.
- Rubina Gym has been completely remapped.
- The condemned buildings in Rubina have also been completely remapped. Events may respawn on saves from before the change.
- Added or changed several NPCs across the region
- Many of these are in Ironis Black Market, some of which only show up after escaping Team Mortis.
- The Haxorus on the battlefield is now an Altaran Krookodile.
- A new quest can be started, though not completed, after rescuing Calico.
- Dusty no longer belongs to the woman in Amaris. Instead, she's dogsitting him for her cousin.
- An NPC in Ironis now recognizes if you have good hygeine by giving you an item if you've washed your hands enough.
- Added a reference somewhere.
- Changed a reference elsewhere.
- Many of these are in Ironis Black Market, some of which only show up after escaping Team Mortis.
- Added a bunch of berry trees to various areas, notably Amaris City.
- Added items here and there.
- Kaiser will now be at the PC in Citrivale once the story events are over, and will go sit down when you speak with him. He will still leave upon entering the gate to Route 5.
- Acento has finally remembered the name of one of his traveling companions.
- Tweaked a small bit of dialogue in the Landlady quest on PG Mode.
- Added a new line of dialogue to the first scene with the rival to explain why they aren't using L and Cherish as their starters.
- Added a new optional event if the player has enough "bad morality" points.
- The exact point threshold is greater than 10. This is technically possible in 2.x, but requires selecting every immoral choice that isn't mutually exclusive with a point for a different counter.
- The player can now attempt to pet Renegade.
- Misc changes:
- Small changes to EVO:
- EVO Day now has a few more Fun Fact lines.
- EVO now picks from a list of dialogue when activated, currently containing three unique greetings each.
- EVO Night now has a breathing animation when sleeping before the player interacts with him.
- Apparently linebreaks aren't needed in EVO's text, so I removed all of them from Day. -- Kuda
- Added two new passwords.
- One hint can be found naturally through exploring. The other requires backtracking after the demo concludes.
- Pokémon metadata:
- Altaran Beedrill is now the Mud Dauber Pokémon.
- Both Altaran Spinarak and Altaran Ariados are now the Widow Pokémon.
- Altaran Dunsparce is now the Seraph Pokémon.
- Altaran Luxray is now the Pharaoh Pokémon.
- Both Altaran Purrloin and Altaran Liepard are now the Alpine Pokémon.
- Altaran Spinarak and Ariados are now more likely to be female.
- Altaran Dunsparce's dex entry has changed.
- Altaran Luxray has had its Speed bumped to 110, giving it a BST of 540.
- Slightly docked Altaran Dunsparce's attacking stats to 45.
- Adjusted Nickit's and Thievul's base stats for a net gain of 30 points each.
- Ash Cloak and Cloakless Wormadam now have their own stat spreads.
- Docked Altaran Arcanine's stats so its BST would match Kantonian's.
- Girafarig and Stantler have gotten another slight stat boost to make their BSTs an even 500.
- Skarmory has gotten a stat boost to make its BST an even 500.
- Flygon is now statted as a pseudolegendary, making its BST 600.
- Cloakless Wormadam now has a dex entry.
- Aron is now in the Mineral egg group as well as Monster.
- Sound effects, including Pokemon cries, are being volume balanced to better fall in line with the rest of the game's audio.
- Fishing now has guaranteed bite, but the player must react within 5 seconds to successfully hook the Pokemon
- Pokemon marked as special now can avoid death in a deathmatch, instead fainting as normal.
- This will occur only once, with the Pokemon being marked as having survived death. They will die the next time they faint in a deathmatch.
- Credits shops and tutors now operate on modified mart scripts.
- Noro's Nidoran is saved to one variable on new files
- Noro's Nidoran on new files now copies the original's IVs
- Noro's Nidoran on new files will use the original's level if it's somehow higher than its default
