- GRAPHICS AND UI:
- Backend maintenance has been done to adjust and standardize sprites that have not been seen in-game yet.
- More Shiny Metallics have been given custom pallettes.
- Zoltan's VS sprite has been updated.
- Tenpo has new sprites.
- Sprites themselves might receive tweaks between versions, but this will be his general appearance for the game.
- Jordan has some updated OW, back, and trainer sprites
- Some of these are split between two outfits:
- Default outfit for Jordan now shows the player without the PokeBit before they obtain it
- The second outfit shows Jordan with the PokeBit. This will change in new files once the player obtains the PokeBit. In existing files where the player has the PokeBit, the player simply needs to load their save for the outfit to change.
- While Mary does not have updated sprites in all of these aspects, the change will apply for her as whell
- Some of these are split between two outfits:
- Fairy Tale Girl now has overworld sprites.
- The Lone Egg has been given a nest, which now shows as empty when taken.
- The types in the Pokedex have had slight color tweaks.
- Completely remade summary type icons.
- Named NPCs now have special dialogue boxes.
- Remade badge graphics.
- Adjusted move selection graphics.
- Updated screen border.
- Renamed almost every autotile and removed unneeded ones.
- The region map has been tweaked.
- Overhauled box wallpapers.
- Battle backgrounds are now lower res at x2 scale to match the res of the rest of the game.
- Dex number in summary screen is blue for metallic Pokémon and yellow for shiny metallic Pokémon.
- All quest names have been given colors, noting their quest type.
- Red: Standard Story quest
- Green: Rhodie battle
- Orange: Mary/Jordan battle
- Light Blue: Noro-related
- Yellow: Standard Sidequest
- All other colors note a specific quest storyline that is comprised of multiple quests.
- The Quest Log has been moved into the PokéBit with a custom icon.
- The PokéBit has been updated to v2.7.
- Altaran Sigilyph has had a redesign (backsprites do not reflect this yet)
- Made some sprite optimizations
- Attempted to fix pixel artifacts found on multiple backsprites from generation 4
- Indexed all battler sprites to reduce filesize
- Fixed the eyes on Noro's overworlds.
- Ashley's hair has been fixed.
- Swapped out Noibat's front sprites for ones that were correctly resized
- All images of the Lure Ball are now consistently blue rather than some being green.
- POKEMON:
- Implemented the following new forms:
- Altaran Lillipup and evolutions
- Lass Aranza has been given the regional form of this line.

- Only has a front sprite at the moment.

- Encounter tables in several areas have been altered. These changes mainly include Pokémon previously available via phenomenon and separate encounters for the dark grass.

- Smeargle form generation has been altered.
- Old formula has been applied only to Randomizer Mode. Otherwise:
- Green, Red, Yellow, and White appear in Rubina.

- The level-up moveset of the Altaran Pidgey line has been tweaked to make better use of STAB.
- Vikavolt's stats have been rebalanced.
- Umbreon's (already altered) HP and SpDef have been swapped.
- Gave Ditto a stat boost, up to a 380 BST.
- Koffing and normal Weezing's abilities have been updated to match their abilities in Sword and Shield.
- Bumped up the BSTs of Nidoqueen and Nidoking to 530.
- Both non-Mega forms of Ninetales have had their BSTs raised to 555, to be level with Arcanine.
- Absol has recieved another small increase to its BST, up to 510.
- Implemented the following new forms:
- WRITING:
- Zemith's clothing is no longer quite as edgy when described. No edits to his sprites have been made, this is only from a writing standpoint.
- Kenn makes it a bit more clear that you need to go to the Rubina Police Station after Zoltan escapes.
- The scene in said Police Station has been tweaked for better flow and less edge.
- The game now accounts for the player attempting to give the Hatchet to the police.
- Expanded the pre-game New Game choice selection to better clarify what things are and if they should be active.
- Completely rewrote the introductory sequence with Professor Spruce.
- Spruce's dialogue has also been rewritten to better convey her personality.
- The cyclist in Citrivale now hints toward a secret instead of spouting a religious running joke.
- Several NPCs across multiple cities have expanded dialogue or new lines entirely.
- Some minor tweaks have been made to the Tempest quest.
- The event now recognizes if the player used a certain method to avoid losing a Pokémon.
- The sailor now warns that you cannot return until the events are over.
- Kaiser no longer forgets that the player is coming with him and Acento. He just doesn't know in the first place.
- The player may now return to the island after the events in Ironis.
- A couple of lines of dialogue surrounding the events in Ironis City have been tweaked to address the player showing restraint. General tweaks to a specific NPC in those events have also been made.
- Petra now speaks in purple.
- Tweaks have been made to dialogue in scenes where Petra shows up to maybe lower the amount of edgeposition.
- Added a sidequest that begins by inspecting your environment in Citrivale Lighthouse.
- Renamed most quests to sound more interesting.
- NPCS:
- Rhodie now hangs out at the Ironis docks when the player is done with story events.
- Kaiser steps outside for some air during the Ironis Pokemon Center scene.
- Kaiser has something new to say during the search for Kaden.
- The man in danger of falling from Ironis's docks now actually falls.
- Granite's northern gate guard no longer breaks the fourth wall.
- Fixed the Amaris gate guard's dialogue being erased.
- A couple extra NPCs have been added to Granite.
- Mary/Jordan now hangs out at home after the Pichu chase, and the mother's dialogue reflects this.
- Valanch now appears in the Ironis Black Market. However, he leaves once the player defeats Zoltan.
- An NPC in the Rubina Pokémon Center now mentions Charred Pathway.
- Phlox can now be seen lurking behind a boulder on the western edge of Ironis Black Market prior to encountering him.
- The police and crime scene will now be gone from Route 4 after the Tempest story events.
- Acento allows the player to prepare for the battle against him when talking to him at Citrivale Docks
- Margot no longer appears in Amaris City.
- She has not been removed from the game completely. She'll just be appearing later in the game. In terms of the story once we eventually release 3.0, she'll appear for the first time not too long once it resumes after Ironis.
- As for the sidequest involving her, it'll be unable to be completed in this version like the quest for investigating Kurai. You should still get it regardless if you haven't already.
- MECHANICS:
- Implemented berry planting in the following areas:
- Shardil Clearing
- Route 2
- Route 3
- Route 4 (West)
- Route 5
- Route 6
- Field effects have been tentatively added to certain places. Have fun.
- EVO's programming has been adjusted slightly on the back end.
- EVO can now be shiny. This is determined upon game start, not when EVO is unlocked.
- EVO being shiny or not carries across both modes. Either both will be shiny, or neither.
- EVO Night and Day both have several new lines under Talk To Me -> Fun Fact.
- EVO can now be shiny. This is determined upon game start, not when EVO is unlocked.
- Gym trainers now scale along with the Leaders.
- The player can now wash their hands.
- The formula for Credits recieved when selling a Pokémon to a Supplier has been changed to give the player better returns.
- WIP regional dexes for Western and Eastern Altaris have been added, the former of which is automatically unlocked.
- It changes very little as the National Dex will still be unlocked at the start. It's mostly just an easier way to see which Pokémon are available on each half of Altaris.
- There'll likely be rewards for completing each dex at some point, however.
- The dexes will be properly set in the following cases:
- New files: Simply get your PokéBit from Professor Spruce.
- Existing files: Continue the file.
- It changes very little as the National Dex will still be unlocked at the start. It's mostly just an easier way to see which Pokémon are available on each half of Altaris.
- Added an indicator to the quicksave icon when saving isn't recommended. The game is not saved at this point.
- The message when a Pokémon dies in a deathmatch has been changed from "x died!" to "x was killed!"
- Odds of double wild encounters in cave and water maps have been increased to 5%.
- The following alterations from Sword and Shield have been implemented:
- Scrappy, Inner Focus, Oblivious and Own Tempo block Intimidate.
- Rattled is activated by Intimidate.
- Flash Fire, Harvest, Lightning Rod and Storm Drain increase odds of encountering Fire-, Grass-, Electric- and Water-type Pokemon respectively.
- Synchronize guarantees running into a Pokemon with the same nature.
- Super Luck increases the chance of encountering a Pokemon with a held item
- Rare Candies can be used to evolve an unevolved Pokemon at Lv 100
- Added some coding to reset Pokemon forms for randomized trainer battles
- Changes to Lone Egg
- Parent/Thief level scales based on progress
- Parent/Thief species is also changed to its original evolution line's base species, but can be evolved depending on its level
- Pokémon hatching from egg guaranteed to have a random egg move (provided the Pokémon has egg moves to begin with)
- Houndour is now an option for the Charred Pathway egg to make the options count match Peridot Forest
- Implemented berry planting in the following areas:
- AUDIO
- A fainting Pikachu no longer sounds demonic.
- Certain tracks have been given loop points with the Fmod script to allow them to properly loop.
- While not exact in some cases, they should be close enough to not be too awkward.
- That being said though, those tracks may experience a mistimed first loop whenever the track plays
- If there are still tracks that don't loop to this effect, they should be set to do so in later versions.

- Trainer encounter themes now loop.
- Although not to the effect of other tracks as noted above.
- The music has hopefully been balanced to a consistent level.
- OTHER
- Changes to items in overworld:
- TM35 is no longer obtainable in Charred Pathway. It has instead been replaced with TM107, Smoky Cloud (will summon smoky weather for 5 turns). TM107 will be obtainable even on Hard Mode.
- Both TM35 and TM107 will be available in shops later. The former a result of this switch, and latter for those who have already obtained TM35 in their current save file.
- TM35 is no longer obtainable in Charred Pathway. It has instead been replaced with TM107, Smoky Cloud (will summon smoky weather for 5 turns). TM107 will be obtainable even on Hard Mode.
- Several more move animations have been added-- a thank you to the Pokemon Reborn team for making their assets public!
- Berries now cost significantly more.
- The bike shop in Citrivale now has a name.
- Implemented a few new items.
- There is now a warning in the game intro to only download the game from our website, instead of from unofficial mirrors.
- EVO Night now starts chewing you out for not updating when you're not playing the latest version.
- Generation 8 content is slowly being added to the code, but has not been finished yet.
- Added a fox.
- Changes to items in overworld:
9/30/2018 - Demo 2.2
- [IMPORTANT] Added a launcher and patcher for the game. Due to updated organization, you should delete your game folder entirely before downloading this update (your save files will be fine!)
- [EXPERIMENTAL] In an effort to reduce lag, removed all "Outdoor Light" events from maps that have night fogs.
- Pokemon now die when they are killed.
- (Dead Pokemon no longer heal in the PC)
- (Dead Pokemon with HP will lose all HP when deposited in the PC)
- (Dead Pokemon with HP can no longer battle)
- (Dead Pokemon with HP no longer follow you)
- (Dead Pokemon with HP are no longer affected by healing items)
- Adjustments to Double Battle scripting have been made.
- You can now throw a Poké Ball with your second Pokémon if your first Pokémon is in the middle of a two-turn move.
- Otherwise, using a Poké Ball with your second Pokémon (and failing to do so as intended) will no longer use it up.
- Your second Pokémon's turn will be properly skipped upon failing to catch a Pokémon.
- You can now throw a Poké Ball with your second Pokémon if your first Pokémon is in the middle of a two-turn move.
- A few new regional variants have been added.
- Altaran Noctowl will evolve from normal Hoothoot.
- Altaran Paras can now be found in the wild.
- Altaran Sigilyph can now be found in the wild.
- Altaran Qwilfish can now be found in the wild, but only in Randomizer Mode.
- Rewrote a line of the game's intro.
- Intro edited to (hopefully) not cause any weirdness when canceling name choices.
- The PC should no longer start without wallpaper.
- Added new region map.
- Spruce lab event edited to deal with edgeposition a bit.
- Lab event also allows a brief moment after obtaining starter to check on your newly obtained Pokémon. Perfect for those attempting to SR for nature/shiny/metallic. Just talk to Spruce after obtaining your starter to progress.
- Noro finally gets some love. His story has been expanded.
- The game will now remember if the Nidoran you give Noro is nicknamed, as well as its Nature and Ability.
- Noro now has unique sprites.
- Noro now properly introduces himself to you.
- Noro's storyline is now mandatory on Hard Mode.
- He will no longer appear in Shardil Town on Hard Mode to give you a sidequest, and instead is introduced to you in the lab.
- Several fixes to EVO have been implemented.
- Edited EVO Day to prevent it from crashing the game after the Tempest.

- Implemented an NPC that makes it possible to get Glaceon, among other Pokemon that evolve at certain locations.
- Jordan, Mary, Noro and Acento have new battle themes.
- Altaran Pidgey, Pidgeotto, and Pidgeot's ally targets in double battles have been altered.
- Altaran Growlithe can be evolved using either a Fire Stone or a Water Stone.
- Headbutt is no longer a field move.
- Condemned Building's encounter density has been slightly reduced.
- Changed the graphic being used for item balls.

- Registered item scripting has been altered slightly. Now both F5 and Y bring up a menu of multiple registered items.
- Fixed the name space limit for the Name Rater to be 12 characters instead of 10.
- Changed the Rubina Police Station building tiles.
- Citrivale Lighthouse 1F now has encounters
- It also has an encounter density of 97. So those complaining about constant encounters in the Condemned Building maps with its original encounter density of 10 compared to normal grass density of 25... this map now exists. You're welcome.
- Adjusted the badge graphics.
- Adjusted Route 4 with new fences and a shortcut past Peridot Forest.
- This also showcases the ability to use the Skateboard to hop up certain ledges.
- Also added a sign to Peridot Forest and made the "correct" paths more prominent for the directionally-challenged.
- Added a new sidequest to Amaris.
- Alolan Vulpix can no longer learn Flamethrower.
- Steelworker now works properly.
- Acento has more lines when traveling with you. Just talk to him when he's at the start of Route 5 and 6.
8/18/2018 - Demo 2.0
- Continued the game up to and including Ironis
- Changed the new game sequence
- Changed multiple areas slightly
- Created a new template for Pokémon Center and Poké Mart maps and populated them more
- Implemented EVO
- Began implementing Hard Mode changes
- Cave encounters have a 1% chance of being a double battle
- However, fishing encounters do not as that would make no sense.
- In wild double battles, certain Pokémon will attack their ally if they are a certain Pokémon.
- Obvious examples including Zangoose attacking an ally Seviper and vice versa. Some are obvious when you think about it, while others will take a look through various Pokédex entries to piece together. And some of these are more likely to be discovered through the use of the Randomizer. Enjoy.
- Shinx, Metapod, and Kakuna have had their evolution methods slightly altered. Now it no longer matters what form they started out as. They will evolve into their respective evolved forms' regional variants so long as you are on a map that allows for it

- Karrablast and Shelmet have a rather complicated evolution method. Good luck figuring it out.
- Glaceon is no longer accidentally available

- The game now keeps track of how many times you've lost to Rhodie.

- Allowed the player to skip the battle vs Mary/Jordan at the start of the game.
- Added an NPC in Granite to help the player figure out where to go.
- Added a few lines to the end of the Spruce's lab scene.
- Added icon sprites for Poipole, Naganadel, Stakataka, Blacephalon, and Zeraora
- This fixes a crash resulting from catching any of the above via randomizer mode.

- Fixed Neutralizing Gas popping an error that didn't do anything.
- Attempted to fix collision issues in the Citrivale area, including the lighthouse and the gym.
- Expanded Petra's dialogue in Ironis Tunnel.

- Corrected an issue where the Pokedex wouldn't register Altaran Sentret as its own form.

1/24/2020 - Hotfix 2.7.2
- Fixed the activated flags for the new password. This should stop the endless flood of Lillipup.
- To make up for this, I've also coded in a reset to turn off both existing password flags one time when using the Password function. So depending on what you've done, you can potentially get both rewards again.
- Added in another password to activate.
- Gave functioning to the new Password Hints option in EVO's Settings. Now the hints you can collect ingame will be saved in EVO.
- ... Until the passwords are figured out, at which point they're basically useless.
- Since I have an opportunity, a moveset has been established for the Altaran Horsea line
- Like with the others, consider them wip-ish and subject to change in future releases

- Fixed a softlock that would occur after defeating Kaden on Route 1.
- Why this even happened, we'll never know. The cause was something that hasn't been touched since 1.0.

- Implemented EVO's Password functionality.
- Hints may spawn in certain locations, allowing players to guess passwords without looking at our Twitter, Discord, or Wiki.
- To enter a password, navigate to EVO's Settings menu. Passwords are case sensitive!

- To explain the blinking to begin with, I was trying to figure out how to handle the event that clears the path for the player after the school tournament while taking into account a run-in with Noro. Unfortunately, that was clearly not the best way to handle it, and thus it is changed again. My apologies for any confusion/inconveniences this caused. (-L2XG)
- As a result however, if you are on Hard Mode and haven't entered Rubina or have given Noro a Nidoran but haven't obtained the next sidequest from battling him and enter Route 3 from Emeralis, you will have to battle Noro again.
