Major Releases

8/18/2018 - Demo 2.0

  • Continued the game up to and including Ironis
  • Changed the new game sequence
  • Changed multiple areas slightly
  • Created a new template for Pokémon Center and Poké Mart maps and populated them more
  • Implemented EVO
  • Began implementing Hard Mode changes
  • Cave encounters have a 1% chance of being a double battle
    • However, fishing encounters do not as that would make no sense.
  • In wild double battles, certain Pokémon will attack their ally if they are a certain Pokémon.
    • Obvious examples including Zangoose attacking an ally Seviper and vice versa. Some are obvious when you think about it, while others will take a look through various Pokédex entries to piece together. And some of these are more likely to be discovered through the use of the Randomizer. Enjoy.
  • Shinx, Metapod, and Kakuna have had their evolution methods slightly altered. Now it no longer matters what form they started out as. They will evolve into their respective evolved forms' regional variants so long as you are on a map that allows for it
  • Added Altaran Linoone.
  • Added Sandstorm Castform
  • Added Lycanroc Dawn Form
  • Karrablast and Shelmet have a rather complicated evolution method. Good luck figuring it out.
  • Glaceon is no longer accidentally available
  • Zoltan now speaks in Edgy Red Text and has an encounter theme
  • Deathmatch trainers now also have edgy encounter themes
  • Deathmatches now disallow item use in battle.
  • The game now keeps track of how many times you've lost to Rhodie.
  • The game also keeps track of how much of a jerk you are
  • Allowed the player to skip the battle vs Mary/Jordan at the start of the game.
  • Added an NPC in Granite to help the player figure out where to go.
  • Added a few lines to the end of the Spruce's lab scene.
  • Added icon sprites for Poipole, Naganadel, Stakataka, Blacephalon, and Zeraora
    • This fixes a crash resulting from catching any of the above via randomizer mode.
  • Replaced several shiny colorations
  • Replaced several egg sprites
  • Replaced some sprites not yet used anyway. Why did I bother putting this here?
  • Edited several pieces of UI
  • Replaced battle backgrounds with custom ones
  • Added a visual notification of a quest being added, completed, and updated.
  • Replaced more tilesets
  • Petra's hair no longer blinks as she walks
  • Zoltan has a new battle sprite.
  • Fixed miscoloration in one sprite.
  • Fixed some tile errors
  • Attempted to balance the volume of all tracks
  • Moved the Debug tile ;)
  • Corrected an issue in which a wild Pokémon could softlock the game with Copycat.
  • Rebalanced the Ice type: Ice now resists Water, Grass, and Ground in addition to itself.

12/21/2017 - Demo 1.0

  • Demo 1 released

Patches

8/18/2018 - Hotfix 2.0.1

4/1/2018 - Patch 1.3

  • Adjusted egg group icons and added two

  • Actually fixed the quicksave glitch this time maybe?
  • There were more typos
  • Edited a few pieces of battle and summary UI
  • Edited battle scripts to change wild battle messages for Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, and Ultra Beasts
    • Also edited so that Ultra Beasts aren't registered into the Pokedex as seen or show their names in battle until they are caught. The latter currently applies only for wild Ultra Beasts, although Ultra Beasts still won't be seen if owned by other trainers until the player has caught them.
  • Added script to change Marshadow's form when it uses a move
  • Removed jarring color overlay when a following Pokémon is statused.
  • Gave Minior's core forms different shinies
  • Fixed a glitch that would cause the fisherman on Route 2 to vanish.
  • Added an additional option for calling Professor Spruce to allow you to see the current maximum level at which your Pokémon will obey you.
  • Edited a few Pokémon and item sprites
  • Added option to replace a party Pokémon with a caught Pokémon
  • Mystery Gift is now functional
    • There is now a special Mystery Gift that will run for the entirety of April 2018.
  • Added new PC wallpapers
  • Added Randomizer, PG, and Hard modes (Hard Mode currently not functional)
  • Replaced the tilesets of some maps
  • Added Metallic animation
  • Added wild item drops

4/2/2018 - Hotfix 1.3.1

  • Added new overworlds for Groray
  • Guess what? More typos!

  • Added a surprise in Charred Pathway. Try to find it without a full party.

  • Fixed a visual glitch that would cause the player's hat to clip through tiles with a higher priority
  • Fixed an error where Spruce's text was red rather than purple.
  • (Hopefully) fixed a glitch where the player could quicksave before naming themselves, thus crashing the game.

1/1/2018 - Patch 1.1

  • Fixed an issue where certain Pokémon forms would incorrectly be registered as seen or caught.
  • Fixed Alolan Vulpix incorrectly evolving via Fire Stone.
  • Following Pokémon should no longer be cloned when party wiping before healing at a Pokémon Center.
