1/23/2019 - Patch 2.6

  • Implemented EVO's Password functionality.
    • Hints may spawn in certain locations, allowing players to guess passwords without looking at our Twitter, Discord, or Wiki.
    • To enter a password, navigate to EVO's Settings menu. Passwords are case sensitive!
  • (Experimental) If a Pokémon evolves and their evolution isn't already registered in the Pokédex, their entry will be displayed
  • Music changes
    • Rhodie now has an encounter theme
    • Noro now has his own battle theme
    • A few more themes have been added for Legendary Pokémon. (Good for those encounters in Randomizer)
  • Changes to Altaran Luxio and Luxray

    • Their ability slots have been swapped to be consistent with Shinx. Those with Anticipation will gain Intimidate while those with Intimidate will gain Clairvoyance
  • Lone Eggs are now guaranteed to hatch with their Hidden Ability.
  • Escape attempts will always be successful when against thieves, angry parents, or guardians
  • Cofagrigus guardians in Jadit Ruins have altered movesets
  • Rhodie's levels have been raised on Hard Mode.
  • Fixed the battle background when fishing on the dock in Rubina.
  • The trainer on Citrivale Docks now has after-battle dialogue.
  • Coding for EV-Lowering berries and their respective juices adjusted to display correct messages
  • Because life sucks, more fucking bag edits
    • Bag burning option removed from bag

  • Corrected a few typos.

11/6/2018 - Patch 2.5

  • EVO is now set to have a line for Jadit Cavern (identical to Jadit Ruins, for now)
  • EVO's Fun Fact about type matchups now includes the change to Poison.
  • Fixed Stomping Tantrum being Special rather than Physical
  • Route 3 event redone again to stop event blinking
    • To explain the blinking to begin with, I was trying to figure out how to handle the event that clears the path for the player after the school tournament while taking into account a run-in with Noro. Unfortunately, that was clearly not the best way to handle it, and thus it is changed again. My apologies for any confusion/inconveniences this caused. (-L2XG)
    • As a result however, if you are on Hard Mode and haven't entered Rubina or have given Noro a Nidoran but haven't obtained the next sidequest from battling him and enter Route 3 from Emeralis, you will have to battle Noro again.
  • Psychic in Peridot Forest no longer invisible after being defeated
  • Discovered the line of code turning Manectric's form to true after battles and fixed it

  • Fixed yet another instance of the wrong pronoun being used for the female player
  • Jadit Ruins Rhydon statue tile properties have been edited
  • (Hopefully) removed the ability to walk into what should be an inaccessible section of Route 5
  • Began the process of changing or expanding a lot of dialogue from random NPCs.
    • This is noticeable primarily in Shardil, Granite, and Emeralis.
  • The Circuit Trainer in Route 6 now uses the correct trainer information
  • Added Phenomenon
    • Shaking Grass can be found in Route 2, Emeralis City, Route 3, Rubina City, Charred Pathway, Route 4, Peridot Forest, Jadit Ruins (exterior), Citrivale City, Citrivale Docks, Route 5, Route 6, Amaris City, Ironis City, and Ironis Black Market
    • Dust clouds can be found in Jadit Cavern and Ironis Tunnel
    • Currently an issue where a normal wild battle will still occur when walking into a phenomenon, possibly resulting in two battles in a row
  • Finally fixed a long-running typo where every box in every medium house would contain "electrinics" manuals.
  • A couple music changes
    • Jadit Cavern should now have music.
    • The Legendary Birds, Mewtwo, the Legendary Beasts and Ho-Oh now have their themes ready to play for their respective battles

  • The player can no longer endanger themselves by running between the deathmatch happening in Ironis Black Market.
  • Noro's initial quest now shows the correct sprite in the quest log.
  • Citrivale Lighthouse encounter density reduced to 10. I think people get the idea now.
  • Rocks now have a chance of dropping items. Why that isn't part of Essentials v16.2, I'll never know.
  • Altaran Parasect now has overworld sprites
  • Pokémon caught and added to party no longer immediately evolve if at or above their level requirement
  • New option added to EVO: Settings

  • Updated Altaran Sigilyph's abilities
  • Changed Altaran Paras, Parasect, Noctowl, and Sigilyph's base stats (something I forgot to do for 2.2)
    • Note: You may experience some negative changes when leveling them up. This is ironically normal as the Pokémon readjust their stats to match up with their altered base stats.
  • Healing point coordinates readjusted in a few cities.
    • This should fix Teleporting into the wrong locations and potentially getting stuck as a result.
  • A speciality shop in Granite is now open.
    • Although you'll need to have gotten to Citrivale first.
  • Fixed an error with one of Jordan's teams not loading for the double battle in Route 5
    • Also team will be healed before said battle
  • Adjusted encounter levels in Citrivale Docks
  • Because we still keep getting people reporting bugs when not on 2.2.2, we've added the current version number to the load menu.
    • The version number will be updated for every future patch and core. So if at any point your game's version number does not match either the latest core or patch number on the downloads page of our website, you are not on the latest version and need to update.
      • Of course if you do not see this number at all in your game, you're definitely not on the latest version and need to update.
  • (Forgot to note in the changelog for a past update, so noting it now.) Poison is super effective on Water.
  • Dynamo is (technically) ready for a rematch. Just show him a Rematch Pass.
    • Currently, Rematch Tickets are only available as a very rare item obtained through your following Pokémon.
