Annibelle Spruce, also known as Professor Spruce, is a researcher and the local professor of Shardil Town.
Appearance
Professor Spruce has straight, ankle-length purple hair that she allows to fall free as she walks. This is complemented by her dark purple skirt and blue shirt, over which she wears a white labcoat.
Personality
Professor Spruce is known to be cluttered, scatterbrained, and disorganized, but is a passionate workaholic who spends so much time on her projects that she has been known to sleep at her lab. She is professional and friendly with new trainers, but may become more casual around people she is familiar with.
In the Game
The Professor beckons the player and rivals to come to Shardil Town, where she offers some exposition, items, and the starter Pokémon.
Pokémon
Professor Spruce is not shown to train any Pokémon for herself, but does give Jordan, Mary, and Rhodie their starter Pokémon. The starters that she provides to the protagonist and rivals include Eevee, Mienfoo, and Solosis, but she states that she gave a specific trainer an Axew at one point.
However, Professor Spruce does appear to have a pet Vileplume in her house.
