Sharply raises Sp. Atk and Accuracy in a pinch.

In Battle

When the user gets below one third health, the user's Special Attack and Accuracy are both raised by two stages.

In the Field

If a Pokémon with Smolder is in the party, eggs that are also in the party require half the normal amount of steps to hatch.

Trivia

• Smolder is a direct reference to an ability of Charmander in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon fanfiction Silver Resistance, in which a Charmander that is freezing to death will draw all of its heat inside, clearing its head and extinguishing its tail flame, and allowing the Charmander to think of a way out of the situation.
